As for stakeholders, UXers could learn how to speak to them without saying, Ignore the layout/colors and just focus on the content. Selecting a brand color for interactive patterns is no faster or slower as it is the default blue. You are still choosing colors, even if 80% of them are grey and 20% of them are the wireframe blue.
