Hungarian artist Tamas Kanya is best-known for his creations made of driftwood and pebble stones. Living near the Romai-beach in Budapest, the capital city of Hungary, the artist got inspired to make sculptures out of pieces of wood that washed ashore. In January, the Brussels-Vienna overnight train service was revived; it was the first time the service ran between two continental cities since 2003. Trains may not seem the likeliest category for transport innovation but the Nightjet was the latest in a renaissance for sleeper trains in Europe. Reasons that have been given for that late-in-the-day popularity include the greener aspects of train travel and the comfort of a journey, especially over budget airline flights.

Harris Diamant knew he discovered an important piece of outsider art when he came across a hand-bound book of drawings for sale on Ebay in 2006. Listed by a bookseller in Lawrence, Kansas, the collection was comprised of 238 crayon and colored pencil illustrations on ledger paper by a then-anonymous author and was sold to a collector minutes after being posted.
