The Procreate app is an amazing tool that makes it easy for anyone to create beautiful artwork right on their Apple iPad. In all honesty, though, the mobile app is much more than a simple drawing tool. Not only does it give you the ability to draw creations from scratch but you can also create painting, illustrations, graphic designs, and more with incredible detail.

In 2015, after almost a decade of work, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) released 94 calls to action aimed at redressing the systemic disenfranchisement — past and present — of Indigenous communities across the nation. At that point, there were fewer than two dozen licensed Indigenous architects in Canada, a meagre statistic that was echoed in other countries.

“The name of the song, j0_0j, can be translated to ‘Jouj’ That means ‘two’ in Moroccan Arabic,” explains animator Franz Impler, the brains behind the new music video for Zouj (aka Adam Lenox)’s new track. “For me the song is about standing inbetween two worlds and the process of entering a new one,” Impler adds. “I tried to translate this through the different worlds in the video.

For his most recent line of exactingly minimal furniture, Vancouver-based designer Christian Woo found inspiration in a familiar yet unlikely source: his eldest daughter. Taking its cues from the “simplicity and honesty” inherent in her compositions of stacked wooden blocks, Woo’s sculptural Noga series consists of two side tables, a four-seater bench (a quartet of lathe-turned cylinders that continues his Column collection) and a coffee table, all unified by their shared elemental geometries.

San Francisco-based design studio Landscape has crafted the identity for disability-focused housing start-up The Kelsey, informed by inclusive design principles. The work includes a new logo, illustrations, animations as well as a series of portrait photography which was shot in-house at Landscape. [link]. Facebook. An impressive trompe-l-oeil fresco painted in the coastal city of Boulogne-Sur-Mer was recently crowned France’s most beautiful street artwork for 2020. Every year, a popular French portal dedicated to urban art hosts a national competition to crown the nation’s most impressive street art. Thousands of votes are cast, and for last year, the title went to an amazing artwork created by Spanish street artist Gonzalo Borondo, on the city’s rue Jules Baudelocque, last summer.
