The font and typography of the Ferrari name have also changed periodically. In the 1970s, the Ferrari letters took on a simple, san serif italic font. The most recent logo evolution took place in 2004. The typography used for the company name also communicates core brand values.

Trefoil and Wordmark Logo (1997-2004): In 1997 Adidas updated its logo by incorporating the company name below the trefoil. The wordmark featured a bold, uppercase font with slight modifications to enhance legibility and visual balance. The logo is named “Gucci” in a stylised, uppercase font.

Looking at factors like colour psychology , font selection, and stylistic choices allows us to unpack why these logos make such a solid first impression. For a brand that wants to be taken seriously, generic clipart and over-stylised fonts can undermine that goal. This projects an image of directness, efficiency, and capability.

The castle is a stylised representation of the enchanting structures in various Disney theme parks worldwide. Above the castle, you will typically find the name “Walt Disney” written in a distinct script font.

But in 2004 the Charlotte Bobcats were created, being the newest expansion team to come into the NBA. Alongside the new silhouette, there is some unique typography for the WNBA. The inline aspect to the typography is nice, but again I think it would have worked better in an all caps, where you won’t have as many odd curves.
