They also changed the colour of the font to black, and the red line under the lettering resembled a “bird” from BOAC's corporate design. The font is white, and the background is filled with red.

In certain fonts, such as Garamond, the ascenders rise above the cap height. It’s also the place that x-height and other important parts of a font are measured from.
