In James Molle’s animation Black Sheep Boy, the audience is treated to a retro video game aesthetic and a questioning of life, death and happiness in one 8-bit package. The film follows a young boy on an adventure towards happiness through a strange world inhabited by anthropomorphic creatures, and is crammed full of old gaming tropes and jangly sound effects.

The Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID) has rebranded with a new visual identity from London-based design studio Someone, which incorporates a smile device. The studio worked with the charity’s in-house design team and brand consultant Dan Dufour on the project which comprises a new logo, wordmark, bespoke illustrations and photography.

In the small city of Muncie, Indiana stands a three-story house with white columns lining the front stoop. Now unassuming, the brick structure formerly featured a sign at its entrance reading “WIPB TV,” denoting the camera crew inside recording beloved icon Bob Ross, who filmed more than 400 episodes of The Joy of Painting in the space from 1983 to 1994.

Branding and Visual Identity for 6A. abduzeedo 11.05.20 The Lab Saigon and Andree Nguyen shared an awesome branding and visual identity for 6A, an architecture firm with a personal, but indistinctive name. (It's a reference to the street address of their first office.) We designed the identity to embody a bigger meaning for the firm, and highlight the founders’ lighthearted personality into an otherwise serious field.

BSMP of Kaluga The pandemic is still striking Russia in all regions. Medical centers are overcrowded, patients cannot call the ambulance or have to wait for medical help to come for days. And just like always, when hope is nearly gone, it’s them who suddenly appear. Priests in Kaluga, Russia, visited hospitals with Covid patients to sprinkle holy water on them and give them icons.
