Nanjiao's illustration work attempts to merge the rational beauty of "neat and distinct" vector geometry with the "pursuit of similarity and focus on artistic conception" of traditional Chinese painting. It was clear that one was used for bitmaps, another one for vector editing, and another for layout publications, but the integration between apps allowed you, in many cases, to do similar things across all apps. We wouldn’t expect a digital illustrator to use them, even though they are vector based. Procreate could be another example.

As the original artwork has been shredded around the internet for few years now, I decided to recreate a fresh new version in vector, and uploaded here as SVG. Originally an acronym of Video Audio Integrated Operation, this was amended to Visual Audio Intelligent Organizer in 2008 to celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary.
