It’s not so often that you find some truly well designed packaging, so I was delighted to stumble upon this wonderful work done for Volta by Stamp. Focused on typography and elements around it, the design uses lines, waves, and simple shapes to suggest the pasta rather than placing photos on it.

I think out of all the briefs we worked on, it would have to be either the editorial brief, or the packaging brief that ended up being my favourite. For the packaging brief, we were given two randomly generated categories which determined what the product would be and who our target audience was.
Packaging design isn’t something that most shoppers notice; at least, they don’t think they do. So creating eye-catching and engaging packaging is an essential skill that every designer needs to nurture and develop. With its “indulgent type and phantasmic photography,” this creative packaging is quite brilliantly imaginative.
A project that I loved working on was the rebrand for Pasta Evangelists which I worked on alongside another designer. It was really fun to see it all come together on the packaging and website and across buses and tubes in London. There’s nothing better than seeing your work in the wild!
