Born in the Caribbean and now based in the Netherlands, Kevin moved to Amsterdam in 2012 to study graphic design, and then spent the beginning of his career enjoying internships and placements at various outlets, including for online magazine DATmag. On top of this, she is also a teacher at the School of Visual Arts, contributes to Imprint and Uppercase magazine and has co-authored numerous books, including The Typographic Universe, American Typeplay and New Modernist Type. Her work has been exhibited at museums around the world and she is a professor at Yale University.

Such was the case in 2012, when Mexican projects were named both the Best Commercial Building Under 1,000 Square Metres (that was BNKR Arquitectura’s strikingly angular Sunset Chapel, pictured here) and a finalist in the same category (Mexico City restaurant Tori Tori, by Rojkind Arquitectos with Esrawe Studio).
