Focussing too much on the looks or superficial outputs risks typecasting you as an agency who cares more about vanity and looks, more than true substance. Don’t focus on just shiny things Working with agencies means you’ll get something better than what you have (typically). But as an agency don’t over-egg the deliverables and outputs.

While I thought it was something they were probably exposed to I had to learn that perhaps exactly for that very reason it was absolutely not appreciated typecasting. During my attempt to explain supply and demand and the way the concept applies to all areas of life, I chose drug dealing as an example. The response was a resounding grunt.

If a specific website looks low-budget, you may set yourself up to be typecast. A prospective client will see what you’ve done and have confidence that you are qualified. The downside is in how those projects are perceived. Therefore, it’s best to use some discretion as to which projects make it into your portfolio.

Maybe I’m typecasting, but we, males, just aren’t that empathetic. My various family members tell me that I’m selfish and self-centered. Having Nathalie, along with other female senior leaders at I&CO, has helped me be more empathetic to others. Females can teach us men a lot about how we should behave in life and at work. Hire female.
