Back Story. “A font’s main purpose is to proclaim, and that is exactly what she was designed for,” says Brandon Nickerson of his new BN Grimer,a bold, sans serif that seamlessly mirrors the minimalism trend. Before designing Grimer, Nickerson found himself sifting through archive.org where he stumbled upon an antique type specimen book of sketches from the 1900s.

Coming to Tokyo, I knew I’d be shooting DSLR (D6) and lots of long glass. There’s certainly a role for wide glass at the Olympics, but for action and reach, if you are not a pool shooter and on the field of play, it’s pretty much telephoto city. I brought wide lenses with me, and for weight purposes, they are my (relatively) newly acquired Z lenses, for the Z 6 and Z 7II cameras.

Art, no matter how well-preserved, is still temporary. But that’s ok, and some artists even embrace this. This artist from Japan creates art out of rice balls, also known as onigiri in Japanese. Though they have an immense aesthetic value, food never should be wasted, so it’s logical that they’re supposed to get eaten. However, these creations are too good to just be devoured, and many would hesitate to eat them.

And in a third direction, an urgent care center. Widen the circle another mile, and there are more physician offices, a plethora of other health care professionals, another urgent care, a retail clinic, and an imaging center.
