The Art in Manufacturing residencies began in 2016 and take place between November and July. The finished work will be exhibited at Blackburn Museum & Art Gallery. Selby has gone into residency with the textile printing company Standfast & Barracks in Lancaster, renowned for its impressive heritage in the craft.

Everyone is ridiculously lovely and enthusiastic; you really get a sense that we're all there because we absolutely love comics and visual art. I was selling lots of brand new prints , cards, comics, magnets and my very special 'Guide to creative freelancing' - the table was absolutely crammed this year!

Not surprisingly, both the traditional media of visual arts and contemporary art have been influenced by abstract art. Notably, the logo should never have too many details as this will spoil its design when printed at different resolutions. The logos that are done perfectly are simple, clean and easy to remember.
