We also are using ceramic pottery as a reference for an art gallery project; and the checkerboard roof of the Cohen Quad in Oxford was inspired by the neo-gothic metalwork of the College’s chapel. That’s one way that I try to break the boundaries and conventions around housing design, in particular. It is refreshing.
