When Rose isn't in the studio, she can be found illustrating birds and championing kindness and mental health. Before joining Grey in 2020, Laura co-founded the creative agency Mr President in 2014 and acted as its Chief Creative Officer. Previously at VICE, Museum of Modern Art, and Mother Design, she's currently designing at Collins.

Scholarship entry: Illustration. I used that as a starting point, and illustrated all of the doorsteps I’d stood on, trying to convince myself to go in, before getting to Shillington. I illustrated it using a mixture of real imagery and iPhone sketching. See Mayo’s portfolio.

Born in Brooklyn in 1931 and having trained at Philadelphia Museum School of Art and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art , he freelanced as a designer/illustrator in New York City before and after being drafted into the U.S. Initially working as an art director for advertising agency Charles Hobson Ltd., Army in 1952. .

On top of this, she is also a teacher at the School of Visual Arts, contributes to Imprint and Uppercase magazine and has co-authored numerous books, including The Typographic Universe, American Typeplay and New Modernist Type. He lectures at his alma mater the School of Visual Arts and other colleges across America.
