From the beginning, there was an emphasis on printmaking and book binding because of Gough’s work in newspapers,” Blauvelt told me. “We I started doing electronic music and performance work in a graphic design program in the early 1990s, and I got a tremendous amount of s**t for it. We used to have a bookmaker in residence on campus.”
