Barnett Freedman “saw no difference between commercial work and fine art”

Those final two are recognised as some of the finest examples of 20th century book design. But he also studied portraiture and painting at the Royal College of Arts, lending his design work a fine art quality.

Hingston Studio's designs for Garry Fabian Miller, the 'camera-less' fine art photographer
