British typeface Gill Sans was designed by sculptor, printmaker and typeface designer Eric Gill —who clearly named his most famous typeface after himself. The typeface was designed by illustrator and designer Phillip Boydell, who had previous designed war propaganda and road safety posters. Eames: Beautiful Details (USA, 2012).
