These featured new and "modern" sans-serifs, most probably contributing to their worldwide popularity. Ferryman is the antidote to the overused geometric and neogrotesk styles.

One particular highlight was when Glaser was awarded the prestigious National Medal of Arts in 2009 by President Barack Obama. 1996, he was inducted into the Art Directors Club Hall of Fame. He shared his knowledge and passion for design as a professor at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
