2016 was an interesting year for sure – one dominated by politics and controversy. However, for design, we kept ourselves busy making the world just a little more beautiful whenever and wherever we could. Here are some of the top trends and moments we saw this past year. 1.) This year Alessandro Michele has captured my heart with his collections for Gucci so when I got my paws on this dress I just knew I had to wear it on Christmas day. I'm entertaining this Christmas so I have been whizzing around the kitchen in this prepping the veggie feast and it's surprisingly practical (especially when my housekeeper Mrs Fluffy is on hand) I did have to swap the gloves for rubber at one point but never fear they were a Chanel pair that I swiped when I went to the AW14 show set
