I had previously studied Fine Arts in photography and then worked at Nikon for a few years as a sales rep. As someone who has always been interested in other forms of visual art, it seemed like the most effective way to tell my story and convey the fact that this was something I had been passionate about for a long time.

Born in Brooklyn in 1931 and having trained at Philadelphia Museum School of Art and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art , he freelanced as a designer/illustrator in New York City before and after being drafted into the U.S. Initially working as an art director for advertising agency Charles Hobson Ltd., Army in 1952. .
