Gail Anderson is a graphic designer and writer who graduated from the School of Visual Arts. In 2003, she left her studio and the world of strategic design to pursue her own interest after a year of sending out promotional materials. Irma started her career at The Government Printing and Publishing Office by doing an internship.

On top of this, she is also a teacher at the School of Visual Arts, contributes to Imprint and Uppercase magazine and has co-authored numerous books, including The Typographic Universe, American Typeplay and New Modernist Type. He lectures at his alma mater the School of Visual Arts and other colleges across America.
