As a Graphic Designer & Letterpress Printer at the Hungry Workshop you will be responsible for crafting innovative and exceptional client and studio projects.

Role Details

Hungry Workshop maintains an extremely high standard of output. You will be expected to maintain our award winning standard of print craft and produce outstanding, high quality work.

Working collaboratively and independently you will be responsible for many aspects of our projects, from concepts, design, prototyping, finished art, pre-press, letterpress print production, finishing and quality control. You will have a moderate level of client contact on a day to day basis through meetings and press checks and will be expected to mirror the friendly and enthusiastic attitudes of the team when engaging with clients and collaborators.

Additionally, the small studio environment means the role will be very hands on and requires a flexible ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude to tasks. We all share the responsibility of keeping the workshop tidy and presses in good order.

The position available is full-time, but we’re happy to discuss part-time / flexible hours.

Skill/Attributes Required

We’re keen to speak with people across the design and print spectrum. We’re looking for the right person to join our small team, rather than trying to fit someone new into an existing role.

– Experience with letterpress / specialty print / printmaking (preferred but not required, letterpress training will be provided)
– Graphic Design or Communication Design qualification
– Experience with paper-craft / packaging
– Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Mac OS X
– Fluent user of project management software e.g. WorkflowMax or similar
