Decorating My Family’s New Living Room with Castlery

Sponsored by Castlery

Right before the holidays, I was able to upgrade my mom, sister, and niece from a one bedroom apartment to a three bedroom house rental. It was especially tough for them to be all packed like sardines during lockdown so I had to help them out. My mom finally retired after being laid off last year so I’m excited for this new chapter. It’s been a long time coming and everyone deserves their own space. Also, my niece just started high school so she’s happy to have some teenage privacy.

Since it’s a bigger space that means we need new furniture to fill it up. And we’re excited to partner with Castlery to show you how we’re gonna decorate the living room and dining room. Castlery offers affordable modern designs. Their styles are really clean lines so they’re versatile. Their selections are more curated so you don’t feel overwhelmed shopping. And they have all the key foundation pieces to get your spaces going. Shipping was pretty quick too for Los Angeles so I’m happy we were able to get the space up and running before the holidays.

Let’s start with the living room. For this space my family wanted a sectional so everyone can hang out. I picked out this forest green Pebble Chaise Sectional. It’s got good depth and pretty comfy with a nice medium firmness. It’s also modular so you can customize it to fit your space. I also dig the curved backs and arms. Once we picked out the sectional, I needed something to play off of the green. I found this vintage Moroccan rug that had all my favorite colors and it had some really geometric floral designs on it. It was a winner.

The dusty pink Cammy armchair is also from Castlery. And I paired it with a boucle footstool

For the dining room, they have always wanted a large dining table cause my mom loves to cook and make lots of yummy dishes. I picked out the Lily Dining Table. They love upholstered chairs instead of wood chairs so I got these green Torri Chairs. And a sideboard next to it. It’s basically a snack sideboard. It’s filled with all the munchies you want. It’s the first thing I go to whenever I visit. Ha!

I can honestly say that I’m super impressed with the quality of all these pieces, especially the wooden pieces. They’re solid and heavy, like the sideboard. And there you have it! My mom is so happy with how it turned out. A sweet thanks to Castlery for hooking us up with all the big pieces to get the rooms going.
