Why Figma’s acquisition is bad for designers

This was a welcomed contrast to Adobe programs which are notorious for feature bloat and unexpectedly quitting on users at random times. On the day of the acquisition announcement, Web Design Museum tweeted about Adobe’s purchase of Macromedia in 2005. All of the programs added to Adobe’s portfolio from the time are no longer in use.

This is why I don’t call myself a service designer any more

I was so excited when I first heard — in 2005, I believe — that there is such a thing that offers a look at design from a system point of view in the form of university studies. When I looked up the available MSC programs, I was immediately drawn to Product Service System Design. I loved the idea!
