It’s common knowledge that a header at the top of the page is an essential feature that SaaS websites need to have, but it’s also a good idea to put a footer menu at the bottom.

On FireHydrant’s website, at the bottom of every page, you’ll see a purple footer menu with a complete list of site pages organized according to category. If users scroll down to read the web page but still haven’t found what they’re looking for, the footer menu will likely direct them to the right place.

Instead of scrolling all the way back up to the top header, a person can simply look at the bottom page menu to select where they need to go.

When we scroll to the bottom of the home page, we see a form to send a message to request a demo. The message box makes it super easy for potential customers to reach out to the sales team. All they have to do is input their email address, fill in the message box and send. Consider adding a similar feature to your website for a seamless customer service experience.

If you click on “Solutions” (listed in the top header of the website) and scroll down, you’ll see neatly organized boxes categorized by departments (IT, engineering, sales, etc.).

As you move the mouse over each box, the box moves slightly, indicating that you can click the link to learn more about how Slack can help your specific team. This is a great way to demonstrate how the SaaS is usable across different teams, and it also makes the customer experience more personal since you’re relating to their specific team’s needs.

11Sight uses a sleek, specialized style on its website that features many animated elements and sticks to a simple green color palette.

As you move the mouse over the header at the top of the page, each heading moves slightly, highlighting the links. Then, when you scroll down the page, you’ll notice many graphics seamlessly floating into the page and numbers moving as they tally up.

This is a great way to add a modernized look to your entire site while highlighting the most important information you want visitors to see.

Another convenient feature Timely includes on the hero image of its home page is a field for people to enter their email addresses so they can sign up for a free trial.

Some customers are slow decision-makers, so integrating a free trial signup in the hero image makes it very simple for potential customers to try out your SaaS while they decide whether to make a purchase.
