Superb Impressive Animal Sculptures by Zhao Kai

1

Chinese artist Zhao Kai creates incredibly lifelike animal sculptures by fusing modern artistry with traditional realism.

The durability of bronze is the reason he chose it as his main medium. Zhao also uses enamel painting techniques to give his creations the final touches and a vibrant appearance. It is truly amazing how well he can portray the essence of every animal, from the majestic bull to the graceful leopard.

“Colour and texture are the two key elements in his work. He uses the fine and smooth form to create a sense of peace and distant realm to direct viewers away from the world of impetuousness and shallowness.”
