Portals of Perception – Exhibition

Current students at UAL Creative Computing Institute on the MSc Creative Computing course, have design and curated an exhibition inspired by the words of english poet, William Blake, who famously wrote:

“if the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite”

Referring to the notion that our perception of the world is limited by our own sensory experiences such as seeing, hearing, touching, or tasting. Through a combination of virtual and augmented reality, interactive installations, and many other forms of creative technology, “The Portals of Perception” seeks to break these limitations and invite you to embark on a mind-bending journey. Here, you can feel states of mind and explore multi-dimensional spaces. You can see intimate memories and grand visions of the future.

You can hear imagined places and your darkest emotions. This exhibition takes you beyond your ordinary sensory experience and offers a reality that is beyond your imagination.Whether you’re an artist, technologist, or simply curious, there’s something for everyone in this exhibition. “The Portals of Perception” invites you to challenge your perceptions of reality and experience life in a richer manner. Join us on this journey to re-experience the world and explore the infinite reality. Thank you for being a part of this extraordinary adventure.
