Hi guys! This is actually a bit of an oldie, but I've just realised I didn't upload it when I finished it way back in March. A few of you have probably heard of Attack on Titan , and boy did I get hooked on the show - mysterious walls, giant loopy-faced titans that eat people, secret keys and gravity defying battles? - Oh yeah. I haven't read the manga, and I'll admit that I'm veeery picky when it comes to manga art styles - but I'm trying to not let that put me off some really great stories, so

Good Evening M'lady Watercolour / Gouache 24 x 31cm I had lots of fun bringing my rag and bone badger and lamplighter weasel characters together for this painting. There is no doubt that I have benefited re-using two characters in a new painting, the turn around was slightly quicker than normal because most of the colour decisions had already been made in previous paintings and the overall atmosphere is lifted straight from 'Rag & Bone'.

There’s a wonderful materiality about rounded letters. Their lighter weights have an engineered quality: for me, they always bring to mind the controlled movements of a router, steadily cutting channels in brass or steel and leaving behind a spray of metal shavings. Their heavier weights are the stuff of the roadside, both the vacuform plastic letters that advertise gas stations and motels, and the painted signs that herald this week’s prices for groceries or liquor.
