A new type of digital charity-driven art gifting platform just launched. Double Dutch was conceived by one of Trendland’s favorite artist duo Inez & Vinoodh in collaboration with Rent the Runway Exec and Founder of social savings app Kidfund.
Inspired by the staggering fact that last year Americans alone threw away $16 billion in holiday gifts Double Dutch aims to remedy the flawed gifting process by embracing the power of cash for a cause, the passionate founding team created the digital platform to support social and environmental causes through giftable, digital ‘cards’ penned by world renowned and emerging artists.
By inviting friends, collaborators and artists to be a part of the Double Dutch family by creating unique digital works of art, the platform adjoins an incredible list of influential voices of renowned and emerging artists, featuring work from the likes of; Gigi Hadid, Urs Fischer, Richard Prince, Cindy Sherman, Maurizio Cattelan & Pierpaolo Ferrari, Derrick Adams, Marilyn Minter, Sterling Ruby and Richard Prince to name a few, who are contributing digital art for cards that unlock funds for charities users care about most. Charity partners already on board include OutRight Action International, Parley For The Oceans, Charity: Water, Knot On My Planet – amongst others.
