Woodland Party "Behind The Scenes" Continued

See my previous post here. My drawing was approved so it was time to start work on the painting. The process to get the finished drawing on to stretched watercolour paper can be a bit tedious but it has to be done. Firstly I enlarge the scanned rough drawing in Photoshop and then I print the image on A3 layout paper. The layout is just thick enough to go through my printer and thin enough to act like tracing paper.

Among the contributors to Discover.typography are a couple of serious campers, a few people who enjoy a good hike, and at least one fledgling birdwatcher. At least one of us may have been involved in scouting as a kid, where the pursuit of such outdoorsy merit badges as Indian Lore, Basketry and Leatherwork pointed damningly to a future as the proprietor of a type foundry.

Today I'm wearing a vintage 80s banana print dress, D&G spectacles and my brand new camera. I'm hopping out to take a few snaps of my cousins newest brood. There's hundreds of them so I'm going to be pretty exhausted by the end of it and may just have to treat myself to a paw massage at Grace Belgravia. Daddy just treated me to membership and I'm already addicted to their veggie patch smoothies.
