Though a book is certainly more than its cover, the best covers can draw readers in with images and text alone. Mexican Manifiesto studio created a unique brand experience for Chilaritos. Based in Mexico City, Chilaritos is a restaurant specializing in a typical Mexican meal called “Chilaquiles” This popular meal is elaborated with fried corn tortilla pieces and accompanied by spicy sauce and cheese. For their brand identity, studio Manifesto came up with a design concept inspired by Mesoamerican elements and Mexican pop culture to reinterpret them with a contemporary touch.
