Inspired by their childhood memories of playing in the forest and discovering the magic of nature, Swedish designers Sofia Lagerkvist and Anna Lindgren of Front Design designed a collection of furniture for Italian brand Moroso that awakens the senses and calls for exploration. The Pebble Rubble series gets it shapes from the forms found in nature, namely the boulders and rocks that have been naturally rounded and polished by the outdoor elements.

During Miami Art & Design Week 2022, globally recognized and celebrated artist and architect Suchi Reddy , founder of Reddymade Architecture and Design, unveiled her first public project in Miami created in collaboration with Lexus. On view through December 11th, the futuristic installation named “Shaped by Air” greets visitors at the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (ICA Miami) and draws inspiration from the Lexus Electrified Sport’s approach to vehicle design.

The Transversal Law of Pictures says: a log can serve the same function as a dog. Andrew Wyeth began this painting featuring a dog. but changed his mind and started over, substituting a log. Wyeth explained that the log performed the same function: "the dog disappeared, though the animal is in the ragged, chopped, sharp sliver part of the log." Whether a dog or a log, Wyeth introduces a contrasting element which opens a dialogue in both form and content.

Each January, Pulicat Lake in Tamil Nadu, India, harbors tens of thousands of lanky, pink-feathered birds that gather in the warm waters during their annual migration. Approximately 20 flocks of flamingos land in the region in early November and stay until May, transforming the 750-square kilometers of brackish lagoons into breeding grounds for the long-legged creatures.
