If you’ve been following my blog for the last few weeks you’ll know I wrote a brief overview of this whole Success Tips for Illustrators and Artists. Looking at that list now I would like to combine ‘taking action’ with ‘perseverance’ as in this industry I’m in (we’re talking everything from learning to paint in gouache, illustration, surface pattern) you really need grit to keep going, to keep taking those actions, over and over to gain a level of proficiency.

Rolling into week two of the One Room Challenge like this! And I am living for this moodboard. This is going to be such a luxurious library / office / lounge / guest bedroom. I haven’t picked out the paint color yet but I’m feeling this teal. We want to paint all the walls including the ceiling for extra impact. The lights are from Hudson Valley , art from Cozamia and Minted , and some of the furniture from Overstock.

Theirs has been a treacherous journey, made all the more dangerous since arriving at sprawling camps on the unstable hillsides of Kutupalong, their lives put in jeopardy with every passing monsoon and cyclone season. Many arrive injured, malnourished, and traumatized, these refugees live in structures made of bamboo, plastic, cardboard and sometimes corrugated metal sheeting.
