Beautiful Photos of 1969 Lamborghini Espada Series I

1

The Espada was unveiled at the 1968 Geneva Motor Show, alongside the Islero. It was powered by a 3.929 cc Lamborghini V12 engine, which was derived from the one used in the 400 GT 2+2 and produced 325 horsepower in the series I models.

The series I dashboard was inspired by the Marzal concept car and featured octagonal instrument panels, with a separate binnacle for the secondary gauges. The alloy wheels were designed by Campagnolo and had knock-off hubs, similar to those found on the Miura. A total of 186 Espada series I models were produced before the end of January 1970.
