At this year’s London Design Festival, Bohinc Studio debuted their Afternoon Tea furniture collection by mixing modern and traditional in a townhome turned showroom. Designed by Lara Bohinc and composed of nine pieces, it’s the studio’s largest, most ambitious collection to date. Playful and feminine, the hallmarks of this series are the spheres and circles used throughout with only a straight line or angle here and there.

Today, we’re baking with high spirits! Farm&Roll is an alternative flour brand, which its visual identity was in charge of Yarcha creative studio. They have created a brand for new premium and organic alternative flour products. The main task for the agency was to develop a brand from scratch: naming, strategy, logo, and design concept. The Farm & Roll logo involves geometric, grotesque letterforms in which the letter “O” depicts a stylized millstone for grinding flour.

Why did we choose Figma? We used so many apps in our process: Sketch for creating mocks, Cloud for store and share mocks with teammates, Zeplin for transferring mocks to developers, and PaintCode for graphic assets and colors. That’s a lot of tools! Our goal was to simplify the design process and make it fast and better with Figma. We wanted fundamental change to our technology stack, which simplifies the design process and makes it better.

Hilma af Klint. Illustrator Juliana Vido has created portraits of women artists—some living, many passed—in their studios. The images are a fusion of Juliana’s delicate, inky style and the famous creative whom she is depicting. For abstract expressionist Lee Krasner, that means expressive painting strokes among fine line work. Similarly, Juliana illustrated abstract artist Helen Frankenthaler and her soak-stain paintings punctuated with the intricacies of the legendary figure.
