Bizarre Surreal and Vampire Themed Paintings of Bolesław Biegas

Polish surrealist Bolesław Biegas (1877–1954) created many artworks in paint and in sculpture. It was, of course, his series of fantastically bizarre vampire themed paintings that appealed to me the most. Where the traditional depictions of vampires portray humanoid bat like creatures, Biegas carried through a wild bestiary of intepretations.. insect vampires, winged camel vampires, elephant vampires, and so on.
