Titled Architype Alphabet Poster, this project explores a simple concept, combine typography and architecture to create a custom typeface. For each letter of the alphabet, Johann was inspired by a famous architect and one of its buildings.

?. During the course of four years, Maxwel Hohn submerged himself in a remote lake on Vancouver Island to record the otherwise unseen life cycles of western toads. The hours of stunning footage culminate in the award-winning short film, “ Tadpoles: The Big Little Migration ,” which chronicles the tiny amphibians’ evolution from bulbous swimmers—Hohn notes how the critters look like they’re smiling constantly at this stage—to fully formed toads.

Argentina-born artist Claudia Fontes ( previously ) continues her Foreigners series with small sculptures of figures enveloped by plumes of porcelain. Recent additions to the expanding collection are more abstract than previous iterations , which often revealed the body’s curves and gestures, although all of the works feature limbs embracing within or attempting to escape from the textured clouds.

Spaceagency has designed the wayfinding and signage system for Expo 2020 Dubai, incorporating a local UNESCO-protected weaving technique. Expo 2020 was due to open at Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in October last year but has been postponed until October 2021 and is set to run until March 2022. It’s the first time that the world exposition has been postponed.

The first was the Impossible Burger 2.0 – the latest iteration of the popular plant-based patty, which boasts as much iron and protein as a comparable serving of ground beef. The second was the Ouroboros Steak, a “DIY meal kit” for growing gourmet steaks from (one’s own) human cells.
