Code repetition is one of the more frustrating aspects of CSS. Having to type out the same property values over and over throughout a stylesheet takes time. And when making changes down the road, it’s too easy to miss a value. The result is an inconsistent design. Things like colors, animation speed and element spacing can vary – simply because a designer didn’t catch every instance.

Residents of Rotterdam’s Bospolder-Tussendijken frequently spot bushy-tailed foxes roaming their streets at night, but now, Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman has given the carnivorous animal a permanent home in the area. He recently installed a massive “Bospolder Fox” that peers over a busy intersection in the neighborhood.

I have a huge sweet tooth, so anything that has to do with cookies immediately piques my interest. Maya, aka @paintedladiespastry , creates edible art that doesn’t look like cookies—the pieces look like the objects she’s replicating! From sneakers to backpacks to seashells to butterflies, each morsel is meticulous in its attention to detail. Maya uses fondant, hand-painted icing sheet cuts outs, and wafer paper to craft the realistic cookies.

Pentagram’s Harry Pearce has designed a new brand identity for Liberty. The updated branding for the department store includes a new logotype, bespoke typeface and redrawn crest. The design studio says that the new identity “embodies craft, archaeology and refinement” and povides the shop with a “renewed confidence” The London store was created by Arthur Lasenby Liberty in 1865.

Jasmine Carey’s “Essence of Life” took home the grand prize. “Essence of Life.” Jasmine Carey/HIPA Water — this was the theme of this year’s HIPA photography contest. The awards were announced on June 7, 2020 and the Grand Prize of 120k dollars went to Jasmine Carey from Australia for her stunning and ethereal photo of a mother Humpback whale sleeping beside her 2-week-old baby.

Fun Meetings Backgrounds Project. abduzeedo 06.16.20 In this period when people need to take care of one another's health, staying at home, virtual contact by videoconference has been a frequent solution. Work meetings, birthday parties and happy hours take place with the cameras on. It's been more than 3 months, at least for me that I have been in isolation with my family.
