A typeface has been designed for the Welsh language

A typeface has been created for the Welsh language which celebrate the country’s heritage. The fonts have been designed by the Cardiff office of design studio Smörgåsbord, in collaboration with the Colophon Foundry. Graphic designer Joseph Burrin also consulted. The original Sans typeface The three fonts that make up the Cymru Wales typeface are Cymru Wales Sans (originally created in 2017), Cymru Wales Serif and Cymru Sans Transport, which is used for Transport for Wales (TfW).

Women’s Aid highlights the pattern of domestic abuse in new ad

Founded in 1974, Women’s Aid has been providing refuge for women and children experiencing violence and fear in the home for over four decades. Through its campaign work, the charity has also spotlighted some of the less visible aspects of domestic abuse.
