Photo credit: Tim Jobling. London artist Hanna Benihoud has unveiled Rainbow Ribbons in the newly-opened Claremont Park today. Incredibly, the dynamic flowing sculpture is fashioned from steel and powder-coated in an array of vivid colours. But to look at it, you wouldn't think it was made of metal. The "ribbons" float down in continuous wavy lines in front of the Brent Cross Town park's new locally-run ice cream kiosk, creating quite the centrepiece for the area.

Originally a white cottage in Northern Melbourne, the Host House underwent a massive renovation and expansion to work for a growing family. Splinter Society first extended the pitched roof volume running front to the back behind the original facade. To top off the new, dramatic design, the cottage is the base to black structures seen from the outside and inside as the penetrate through to create new interior divisions.

2nd Avenue Residence is a minimal residence located in Montréal, Canada, designed by Microclimat. The three-story 2,500-square-foot house is an exploration of both opportunities and constraints, building on its original state as an empty parking lot along an adjacent home. Due to the proximity to neighboring homes, the client was conscientious in creating a discreet and humble facade, respectfully inserting itself among the landscape.
