Design exists to shape the future. Every time a product is designed, prototyped, and produced the course of history changes: what did not exist starts existing. In this sense, design is (or at least should be) proactive and not reactive. Design is a thought into action to change the existing. Otherwise, design risks being irrelevant and purposeless.
