Thinking with Type, 2nd revised and expanded edition: A Critical Guide for Designers, Writers, Editors, & Students. The revised second edition is an update of the first edition, published in 2005. This revision includes a new chapter on digital media, a chapter on responsive web design, and additional illustrations.

In 2005 he published Black & White, a compilation of his work for the International Press. In 2011 Laurence King Publishing , published his second book Protest Stencil Toolkit. The space will also host talks, workshops and other events, in partnership with invited designers, initiatives, collectives and institutions worldwide.

Three of them riff on Ford’s iconic striped design for Updike’s first novel. To learn more about Updike the art director, I revisited Chip Kidd’s 2005 monograph, Book One. Kidd is an acclaimed book cover designer who created many jackets for and with Updike at Knopf.

This impressive image-based publisher shares the best of documentary photography in weekly releases that cater to those interested in subcultures, British and Irish post-war history and more. I studied Fine Art and had just finished my masters.

Inspired by the hand lettering of 20th-century book designer and calligrapher Oscar Ogg, Ogg captures a unique mix of calligraphic and typographic form. Recommended for posters, product packaging, magazine spreads and book covers, this serif font was designed by Lucas Sharp and published by Village in 2013.
