VH AWARD for Emerging Asian Media Artists Featured The five finalists for this award by Hyundai Motor Group will each receive $25,000 in production grants and participate in an online residency program with Eyebeam. Six projects will be selected for publishing at no cost. The Grand Prix recipient will be awarded an additional $25,000.

The program offers two awards of $3,500 and four of $1,000. Submissions will be juried by Lauren Rosati, Associate Curator, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City and Maya Brooks, Assistant Curator, North Carolina Museum of Art. This is an international open call, and all visual media is eligible.

Open Calls The Aperture Portfolio Prize (International) Photographers are encouraged to submit innovative bodies of work that haven’t been previously published or exhibited. The first prize winner will be published in Aperture and receive $3,000 in cash, a $1,000 MPB gift card, and an exhibition in New York City.

Open Calls Franklin Furnace 2023 XENO Prize for Artists’ Books (International) This prize offers $5,000 to one artist to publish an artist’s book centered around book banning/burning in an edition of at least 120 copies. Proposals for off-site projects, publishing initiatives, performances, and nontraditional formats are also accepted.
