Rokos candleholder

It’s not just pumpkin spice latte season. It’s also sweater season and the time, hopefully, for more candlelit dinners. As it gets cooler and autumn begins in earnest – and travel restrictions continue – bringing warmth into interiors via well-appointed accessories can make a huge difference in how you weather the months ahead. Here are five new candleholder designs for nesting in style.

1
≲ 231 MIN by ROKOS

Science never looked so sweet. This floating candleholder allows the user to determine the burn time (it’s named after its maximum burn time of 231 minutes) by how much or how little water is added to the holder. It’s made by Rokos, the same luxury housewares brand that came out with the equally alluring Gauge stem vase, in borosilicate glass.

2
Collect candleholders by &Tradition

Part of a larger collection designed by Space Copenhagen for &Tradition, these bronzed-brass candleholders come in three sizes and accommodate two candles apiece. They are hand-polished, which means each item will develop a unique patina.

3
Press tealight holders by Tom Dixon

This literally groovy collection of vases, bowls and candleholders by Tom Dixon is made of chunky coils of pure, clear transparent glass. The pieces are manufactured by dropping “big globs” of molten material at 1,200 degrees centigrade into the two or three-part iron moulds in which the glass is pressed. Hence its name.

4
Fonte by Hay
Fonte candleholder by HAY

Another candlestick holder that holds more than one wax stick at a time, Fonte was designed by Inga Sempé and is made by Hay in cast iron. The raised foot, capping an elevated pedestal, features protruding spikes upon which to secure candles.

5
Electron Table Light by Bohinc Studio

Okay, we’re cheating a little by including this light fixture in the mix. But Bohinc Studio‘s Electron Table Light emanates a candelabra vibe even if its inspiration was Jupiter’s rings – interpreted as solid cylindrical beams of light. Its brushed-brass finish and perforated diffuser give it a celebratory feel.
