The interior for Japanese Kan Restaurant by architectural studio Odd-Space was inspired by traditional Jubako – a box featuring multiple layers used as a food container during important events and ceremonies.
Each of six room of this high-end restaurant resembles a semi-open box, all laid out in a T-shape. They are all connected with a kitchen so as to serve the freshest food.
The feel of timeless elegance expressed via black marble & glass was mixed with a sense of Japanese tradition – insets of natural wood and stone. While some of the dining suites are reminiscent of old tea rooms, the others were designed in line with contemporary, minimalist aesthetic.
