Xuebing Du’s photography takes the viewer’s breath away. Her photographs are illuminated with otherworldly light, color, and texture, yet the flowers she shoots are very much of this world.
Born in China and raised in Cupertino, California, Du graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a Master’s degree in Web Design and New Media. Her photography focuses on diverse elements of the natural world; deserts, gardens, plants and flowers. Du’s latest series titled “Mother of Pearl” captures roses in full bloom in soft, silky, soothing colors. Her photographs are strikingly feminine, organic, and surreal.
