“Make a digital collage using objects in your home” – Introducing the It’s Nice That Weekly Brief

If your mind is yearning for a little creative activity, get involved in our all-new Weekly Brief on Instagram...

Date
23 March 2020

For those regular It’s Nice That readers, you may well remember our Monthly Brief from a year or so ago – a host of of creatives challenging you to “recreate a famous design in crayon” or to“design a bootleg T-shirt for your favourite band”, alongside many other odd, interesting and fun ideas.

As our editor Matt Alagiah explained in this article last week, It’s Nice That is here to champion creativity, and now more than ever during these trying times. So, we’ve decided to bring back the brief, on a weekly basis, to help provide some creative entertainment whilst we fight the urge to watch internet cats in our pyjamas all day.

And so, this week’s brief is from digital artist Sam Bailey, and he wants you to “make a digital collage using objects in your home”.

“One of my favourite things about creating artwork with a computer is there is no limit to the mediums and methods you can mix together. Make a collage that uses objects you can find in your home. Use photographs, 3D scans, drawings – anything you like! The more unlikely a pairing the better. Have fun and stay indoors!!!”

Fancy taking part? Here’s the deal…

Upload your collage to Instagram with #ItsBriefThat @itsnicethat.

The deadline is Thursday 26th March 12am.

On Friday 27th March the It’s Nice That team will pick our favourite submissions to feature on our website and Instagram.

Be sure to keep an eye on #ItsBriefThat and enjoy all the responses to the brief!
