Booooooom x Capture Photography Festival: Public Art Artist Chosen

Thank you all for submitting to the Booooooom x Capture Photography Festival Public Art Open Call. We were blown away by the quality of the work and it definitely took us some time to narrow the selections down to a shortlist of a dozen artists. Today, we are excited to announce that we have selected Angela Blažanović as the artist for the 2020 Capture Public Art Project! Angela’s work will be installed on the facade of the King Edward Canada Line Station, here in Vancouver.

Angela Blažanović’s series “Fragments of a River” investigates the relationship between the natural and the artificial where she has photographed repurposed discarded objects retrieved from the banks of the river Thames in London, England.
