As the year draws to a close, we’re not only saying goodbye to 2019, but an entire decade too. It’s Nice That has been occupying our corner of the internet for 12 years now, covering creatives and their projects in every possible form, so we’ve taken this opportunity to look back at a decade of outstanding creative work.

In that time, we’ve been lucky enough to write an incredible 25,000 articles about different creatives, covering everything from graphic design to photography, illustration, animation, advertising and everything in between. In parts, it’s been a weird and wonderful decade, from cats dressed up as sushi to Chris (Simpsons Artist), real-life emojis and paintings of mosh pits. In between we’ve found ourselves sitting down with greats like Mr Bingo, William Eggleston, Anne Lund, Geoff McFetridge and Malika Favre, and snooping in the offices of Pentagram, the Design Museum and The New York Times. We’ve even had the chance to make our own projects too, like asking Wilfrid Wood to sculpt the stars of the Olympics, commissioning a film about private parts, and even blagging an interview and photoshoot with Duck, Red Guy and Yellow Guy from Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared.

And so, as we draw this decade to a close we’ve collated together our most-read articles of the past ten years, with some of the team’s unforgettable favourites thrown in for good measure too. Here’s to another decade of championing creativity!
