Free Wallpaper for August 2020

Hello fellow humans! I’m happy to announce that I’ve made it through July hanging on by a thread. It’s been a crazy month filled with 90+ degree days, lots of toddler chasing, and trying to keep on top of client work while maintaining some semblance of sanity. But let’s get to the reason you’re here.

The free digital wallpaper for August was inspired by Meg Lewis, a designer that I admire and follow, and her joy-filled interior design sense. I love that it’s intentionally wonky and imperfect and the turquoise + teal is giving me so great vibes so I hope you enjoy it as well. Plaster this little ditty on all your digital devices and please share + enjoy!

PERSONAL NEWS

Still social distancing and mostly quarantining over here throughout July. My dad had a potential covid exposure a week ago, so we’re taking a 2 week break from seeing him and my mom. Honestly, it’s really hard when someone’s carelessness means that one of the only things we get to look forward to is taken away. We’re trying out best and enjoying lots of backyard time, late night dips in the hot tub, + learning new songs on the ukulele.

BUSINESS NEWS

For whatever reason, July was one of my busiest months of the year. People are shifting their businesses and new ideas to online platforms and I feel incredibly lucky to have work during these uncertain times. I’ve been learning more and more about Shopify and also starting working on the Showit platform for websites and I think I may have a new love 😍I’m hoping to get more comfortable and then start offering it as a service ASAP. I also got to launch a new logo + brand for a few clients including a tax and accounting business called Kairns. Looking forward to sharing more new projects in August!

Happy August!
